About the Authors
Kid Chef Eliana competed on the series Super Chef Kids and has her own global, weekly radio show titled “Cool Kids Cook” on the Voice America Kids network. She has appeared on numerous television and radio programs including the
Wendy Williams Show and is in production on her own food show. Eliana does cooking demonstrations around the state at festivals and events and loves to experiment with traditional recipes to make them healthier and easier to prepare. She lives with her family in Harvey, Louisiana.
Dianne de Las Casas, Eliana’s mother, is an award-winning author and storyteller and the founder of the celebrated November is Picture Book Month initiative. Her books include The Cajun Cornbread Boy and Beware, Beware of the Big Bad Bear, a book devoted to the pursuit of the most important ingredient in biscuit making! de Las Casas makes her home in Harvey, Louisiana.
About the Illustrator
Soleil Lisette, Eliana’s big sister, has a BFA in Studio Art from Louisiana State University. She is a talented graphic artist.
