Lara Lyn Carter is a Georgia native with a deep love for the past elegance of the Old South. She is the host of a popular television cooking show on Albany, Georgia’s, WALB-TV, in which she explores Southern history, great destinations, and, of course, delicious food. Carter lives with her husband and three children in Albany, Georgia.
Doc Lawrence is a veteran journalist, producer, and broadcaster. He is the former editor of the Nationwide News and the host of the popular drive-time show Your Atlanta Gourmet. Lawrence is the managing editor of the Web site Wines Down South, which was honored by the Georgia State Senate in 2010 for its rich content and promotion of cultural tourism. A prolific columnist and the director of wine for the International Food, Wine, and Travel Writers Association, Lawrence is frequently called on to weigh in on matters of great taste, including serving as judge for the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue. When not traveling, Lawrence makes his home in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
