Paulina Ganucheau was born and raised in New Orleans. In 2005, her home in Waveland, Mississippi, was swept away by Hurricane Katrina, and she relocated to South Carolina with her family. Despite the tragedy of the storm and its consequences, her move afforded her the opportunity to attend her dream college, the Savannah College of Art and Design. Ganucheau majored in sequential art (a comic book art style) with a minor in storyboarding. After receiving honors each of the four years she attended, she graduated magna cum laude and was presented her BFA in 2010.
Ganucheau works with comic books both as a storyist and colorist. She regularly contributes to podcasts from Big Planet Comics in Washington, DC, and has worked with local underground bands, creating logos and t-shirt designs. Ganucheau’s array of clients include Boom! Studios, Epilogue Publishing, Rock ‘n’ Bowl, Dirty Coast, and Fulcrum Publishing. Until February of 2013, she was the designer and head illustrator of Skuba Design, and she has worked closely with the development team at Thinkenhaus, LLC, a software- and media-production house. Ganucheau resides in New Orleans with her boyfriend and two cats. |
