Born and raised in the mountains of West Virginia, Eva Steortz was able to achieve her dream-come-true career at Disney where as a vice president she oversaw multiple divisions, including franchise development, retail marketing, and toy sales. With over twenty years of experience in this position, Steortz wrote From the Outhouse to the Mouse House to inspire other young adults to chase their dreams, as she chased hers.
Steortz received her BA in advertising and an MA in mass communication, as well as a minor in business administration, all at West Virginia University. During her time at Disney, she was vice president of retail, seasonal, and digital marketing; promotions director of Disney Consumer Products; and a plethora of other positions that defined the entertainment industry. After she left Disney, Steortz was senior vice president of marketing and strategy at The Equinox Group, where she supported companies like Disney, NBC Universal, and more. This position inspired Steortz to start her own company, Vita Creativa, where she could inspire and aid individuals and teams to achieve their professional goals. Steortz is senior vice president in the Brand Developing Department at Twentieth Century Fox
Steortz lives in Woodland Hills, California, with her husband. She enjoys gardening, antiquing, and yoga. |
